For the Discovering India section of four select films, Turkish Airlines gave two Business Class international tickets as the festival’s appreciation to its winning film, the health-based documentary ‘Lovesick’, directed by Boston-based Priya Giri Desai and Ann S Kim.

Turkish Airlines has nurtured the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star for the last four years and has been instrumental in the festival's growth both by bringing in great guests and enabling the MAMI team to go out to other countries to find films, talent, and collaborations

MAMI has the privilege of Turkish Airlines flying in key delegates. In addition, it also gives international air tickets as rewards for winning films, a telling gesture of goodwill that is of immense value to a film festival. Air travel is possibly one of the biggest burdens of a film festival when it comes to its overall budget. So, an airline sponsor,  in one go, minimises the festival’s travel budget and increases its international and domestic image and accessibility. Hence, MAMI can boast of a truly impressive roster of delegates from abroad, which this year included a staggering range of respected names from the international film industry.
