Film Festivals – Programming / Consultancy

Filmmakers and producers are invited to share their projects, preferably at or before the rough cut / unmixed stage, for guidance and advice.

We consider the projects and recommend or programme at festivals those that have a certain appeal and interest. When a project is nearing completion, we help with strategizing its festival run and submissions. Once selected at a festival/s, we offer professional help in promoting the film, prior to and during the festival/s.

For Film Festivals
  • In addition to Indian films, we also recommend themes, subjects, tributes that relate to Indian cinema and can be presented as a programmed section. We will also oversee the preparation and publicity of the programmed films, as well as the package as a whole.
  • We organize panel discussions and marketing sessions for and at film festivals

Marketing and Press Material

We prepare the text and layout design for a film’s (or film package’s) press kit and other material.

Subtitling

We subtitle Indian regional language films in English. We also refine existing English subtitles, and translate and subtitle from scratch projects made in Hindi and Marathi.

In addition, Uma has subtitled a collection of Amitabh Bachchan’s early starrers (Anand, Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Saudagar, Agneepath, Aankhen) commissioned for New York’s Film Society of Lincoln Center at its April 2005 Tribute to the megastar, and around 150 film titles for the Film Finance Corporation and NFDC during the mid-70s to the 80s.

We accept select casting projects on specific request by directors / producers interested in casting actors for independent films. We request actors not to contact us directly.
